Mifia Sustainability
At MIFIA, our philosophy centers around the belief that sustainability is a continuous journey rather than a destination. We actively practice sustainable development by exploring and utilizing innovative, environmentally friendly materials, such as cutting-edge bio-based materials like straw fiber. We advocate for the use of sustainable materials certified by GRS and FSC, as we work towards developing more eco-friendly products. Our focus is on making consistent progress in our sustainability efforts, and we aim to inspire our customers to join us in this journey. Together, we can make a meaningful impact in protecting our planet and promoting a more sustainable future.
MIFIA is proud to announce that we have obtained certification from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), reflecting our dedication to sustainability and responsible sourcing in the stationery manufacturing industry. The FSC Certificate Code is BV-COC-196872, and we adhere to the FSC Chain of Custody Certification standard (FSC-STD-40-004 V3-1).
As consumers and businesses increasingly recognize the importance of sustainable and environmentally-friendly practices, the demand for certified forest products has significantly grown, reflecting their commitment to contributing positively to the environment. Products bearing the FSC logo assure customers that the paper and wood used in their production come from responsibly managed forests. This certification encompasses a wide range of products, including paper packaging, notebooks, books, stationery items, paper toys, and hangtags, all certified as FSC 100%, FSC Mix, and FSC Recycled.
Our commitment to FSC certification requires us to maintain a rigorous chain of custody, ensuring that every stage of our supply chain adheres to sustainable practices. This involves detailed record-keeping of our purchases and sales, enabling traceability from the source of the raw materials to the final product.
At MIFIA, we recognize that our role extends beyond manufacturing high-quality stationery products; we are also stewards of the environment. By choosing FSC-certified products, our customers contribute to the preservation of forests and support sustainable communities.

GRS
MIFIA is GRS-certified, demonstrating our deep commitment to sustainability in stationery manufacturing. The Global Recycling Standard (GRS) promotes responsible sourcing, recycling, and full supply chain traceability—driving industries toward more sustainable practices.
We offer a wide range of products made with recycled materials, including 100% recycled options, and support clients with traceable documentation. For clients who are also GRS-certified, we can proudly use GRS labels on qualifying products.
By choosing MIFIA, you’re helping reduce plastic pollution, protect our oceans, and build a circular economy. Sustainability is more than a goal—it’s our way forward.

Bio-based
At MIFIA, we are dedicated to sustainable development and actively exploring the use of bio-based materials. Currently, we primarily use wheat straw as our bio-based material.Wheat straw is an agricultural byproduct that is often burned, leading to resource waste and pollution. By adopting wheat straw as a bio-based material, we not only help reduce waste but also significantly decrease environmental pollution.

Wheat straw
Wheat straw is a renewable resource, and we plan to further research and utilize other bio-based materials in the future. For instance, corn straw can be transformed into environmentally friendly bioplastics and bio-resins, which are lightweight, strong, and non-toxic. These materials are well-suited for our stationery products, such as folders and storage solutions. Our eco-friendly products not only provide practical benefits but are also harmless to the environment and human health, reflecting our commitment to sustainability.

Cork
We are exploring the potential of other bio-based materials, including cork. Cork is an environmentally friendly material sourced from tree bark without harming the trees. Each year, a large amount of waste cork, such as used wine stoppers, is discarded. However, this can be recycled through innovative cork regeneration techniques, helping to reduce our dependence on natural resources. Recycled cork is lightweight, durable, waterproof, and fire-resistant, making it ideal for protecting your essential documents and valuable items while providing an elegant and sophisticated look, perfect for business office folders.

Pineapple leaves
Pineapple leaves serve as a natural fiber suitable for making leather alternatives and paper products, offering excellent mechanical strength and water resistance.
Environmentally friendly materials
At MIFIA, we prioritize the use of materials that are safe for human health. Our commitment is reflected in the careful selection of materials for our products.
We primarily use polypropylene (PP) and paper, both of which are completely non-toxic and safe for everyday use. Even when we use polyvinyl chloride (PVC), we ensure that our products meet various safety standards, including EN71-3, 6P free of phthalates, and REACH.
In recent years, we have also adopted ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) as one of our key materials. EVA is a completely non-toxic option, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, including medical-grade and food-grade uses.
At MIFIA, we are dedicated to providing products that prioritize the well-being of our customers. By using safe materials, we aim to ensure that our products are harmless to human health.

Product Design
At MIFIA, we make efforts to incorporate eco-friendly elements into our product design, focusing on recyclability, durability, and multifunctionality to align with the growing demand for sustainable options.
We use GRS-certified materials in our products, promoting the recycling of waste and supporting a circular economy. By incorporating bio-based materials, we create products that are biodegradable and help reduce environmental pollution.
Additionally, with the implementation of plastic reduction regulations in Europe, many customers are moving away from traditional OPP bags. In response, we suggest using belly bands for packaging to securely hold items together while reducing plastic use.
Through these efforts, MIFIA aims to create innovative, sustainable products that benefit both our customers and the environment.
